Having been saddened by all of the controversy over the Ten Commandments hanging in public buildings in our country,
I decided to design my own version of God's great laws.
It is my desire to place these commandments in as many American homes as possible where our children and grandchildren
can be exposed to them on a regular basis.
Priced at just $.99 for a PDF file.

Some people believe that since the Ten Commandments are Old Testament, they are not applicable today. Below you will find New Testament scriptures confirming the validity of God's commandments in our world today.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:18, "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled." (NKJV)
Below is a listing of each commandment with New Testament scriptures supporting the validity of each commandment in New Testament and modern times.

I. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"
(Matthew 4:10 - NKJV)

II. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. (1 John 5:21 - NKJV)
But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murders and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
(Revelation 22:15 - NKJV)

III. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
For "the name of god is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you," as it is written. (Romans 2:24)

IV. Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.
"Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath." (Matthew 12:12 - NKJV)
Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.
(Luke 23:56 - NKJV)

V. Honor thy father and thy mother.
"For God commanded, saying, 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.'"
(Matthew 15:4 - NKJV)
1. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2. "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with promise:
3. "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."
(Ephesians 6:1-3 - NKJV)

VI. Thou shalt not kill.
He said to Him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, " 'You shall not murder,' 'You shall not commit adultery,' 'You shall not steal,' 'You shall not bear false witness,' (Matthew 19:18 - NKJV)
Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. (1 John 3:15 - NKJV)

VII. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
27. "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.'
28. "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
(Matthew 5:27-28 - NKJV)
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, (Galations 5:19 - NKJV)

VIII. Thou shalt not steal.
"thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride foolishness. (Mark 7:22 - NKJV)
Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. (Ephesians 4:28 - NKJV)

IX. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," " You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, " You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Romans 13:9 - NKJV)
"But the cowardly, unbelieving abominable, murders, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8 - NKJV)

X. Thou shalt not covet.
And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses." (Luke 12:15 - NKJV)
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor relives, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:10 - NKJV)
